Silence

Silence refines itself into noise towards music. A dead mouth speaks through woken snow. Objects reciprocate the leaning woods, a single daylight streetlamp. There are at least a thousand generations pushing from behind, but even so, we brought this upon ourselves.


Giles Goodland

He has worked as a lexicographer, editor, and bookseller, and teaches evening classes on poetry and linguistics for Oxford University's department of continuing education, and lives in West London.
